Tibu Bunter Waterfall
Only 10 minutes away from Batu Santek waterfall is another secret waterfall named Tibu Bunter. Don't be confused! There is a waterfall in Tetebatu with this exact name. This one is located in Sesasot, about an hour from Tetebatu. This waterfall is hidden underneath some beautiful rice paddies and has a similar height and shape to Batu Santek.
Reaching Batu Santek and Tibu Bunter Waterfall takes just over an hour on a motorbike from Senggigi. On the way, you'll small villages and large fruit markets.

For the super adventurous, I've got a challenge for you in the form of a secret, hidden waterfall deep in the Rinjani jungle– Tiu Sekeper Waterfall.
Tiu Sekeper is the biggest of all Lombok waterfalls standing over 110 meters tall. This also makes Tiu Sekeper one of the 10 tallest waterfalls in all of Indonesia!
This one isn't for the faint-hearted. I tried to find this waterfall on my first trip to Lombok back in 2019 and got miserably lost. Determined to find it, I recently returned to Lombok in the rainy season and this time, was successful via the same trailhead at the Tiu Teja waterfall trail.

Tiu Teja Waterfall
Tiu Teja Waterfall is nestled in the northern foothills of Mount Rinjani in Lombok's northern regency. It's an impressive single-drop cascade with a swim-friendly shallow pool at its base and accessible via a scenic 3.6 km hike through lush cacao & banana plantations.
Tiu Teja's name translates to "rainbow waterfall," due to the beautiful rainbow visible in its powerful mist.
While it used to be quite a well-known waterfall even promoted by the Indonesian Tourism Board, the earthquake in 2018 sadly destroyed much of the infrastructure leading to the waterfall. This has not been rebuilt, resulting in Tiu Teja being forgotten by travelers and its trail reclaimed by the jungle.

Fun Fact: Air Terjun Tiu Teja was once known as the "Twin Falls" of Lombok. However, on my recent visit, I've noticed that the streams have converged into one, single powerful drop.

My experience at Benang Stokel & Kelambu Waterfalls
The Island of Lombok is a waterfall wonderland. Around each new corner is a waterfall more epic than the last. After hiking Mt. Rinjani we woke up at 330 am in Senaru and headed to Bukit Selong rice fields, which is an epic sunrise viewpoint area. After sunrise, we continued to drive down south, eventually ending up in Central Lombok after a 2.5-hour journey. Our end goal was to visit Benang Stokel Waterfall or Benang Stoke Air Terjun as goes the local name.
Once you are inside you begin the trek. It is a very, very short trek to the first falls and actually more of a walk. After about 10-15 minutes you will arrive at Benang Stokel Falls and also next to it is the ‘jumping spot’.
